American artist Johnny Depp was born in a small town Owensboro, Kentucky in the USA on the 9th of June, 1963 in a family of a civil engineer and a waitress. When Johnny Depp was 16, he dropped school in Los-Angeles, as he really wished to become a musician. He worked with a band The Kids in Los-Angeles. When he was 20, Depp got married to make-up artist Lori Anne Allison. His wife got acquainted him with Nicolas Cage, who saw potential in young Depp. Johnny and his wife separated in 1985, the same years The Kids broke up too. After a few small roles, he made his first prominent film debut in “A Nightmare on Elm Street”. In 1987 Depp displaced Jeff Yagher in a Canadian-filmed TV series “21 Jump Street”. This role made him a teen idol. Then was “Edward Scissorhands”, directed and produced by Tim Burton. Since that time Johnny Depp has cooperated with Tim Burton, who is not only film director, but a Depp’s close friend, in 7 films. He took part in countless movies with different stars – Marlon Brando, Winona Ryder, Leonardo Di Caprio and many others. A major success for Johnny Depp is his role in “Pirates of Caribbean”, which brought him a real success.
Depp was engaged to an actress, Winona Ryder. Their relations lasted 3 years and in 1993 they broke up. Then were a four year relationship with Kate Moss. Now he is with Vanessa Paradis, a famous French singer and actress. Paradis and Depp have a daughter and a son.
