Warner Bros. will stop to sell films about Harry Potter
This is connected with films in DVD and Blu-ray format. Shops will stop to sell not only disks with separate films, but also anthologies – for example, "Harry Potter: The Complete 8-Film Collection".
"Harry Potter and death Gifts: the Part 2" (the eighth and final film from the whole seria) will go on sale only on 11th November. However in the end of December Warner Bros. will stop to ship this film too. It is supposed that the company will release the film about Harry Potter again after the break. Such step should be positively reflected in sales volumes.
Company Disney obey the similar strategy. "Harry Potter and the Philosophers' stone", the first film in a seria about the boy-wizard from Hogvarts and his best friends were released in 2001. A final series have been released this summer. The box-office takings of all eight films have made in total more than seven billion dollars. The Warner Bros. company has earned more than five billion dollars because of sale of disks with fillms and the video games developed on the basis of the films.
