Anders Breivik’s litigation will start not earlier than in 2012

The process on litigation of Anders Breivik accused in organization of terroristic acts on July, 22 in Norway will start not earlier than in 2012. It was told on July, 28 by Mr. Tor-Aksel Busch, Prosecutor General of Norway.

He explained that this case is extremely complicated and required a lot of time for investigation proceedings. "We are basing on a fact that the investigation process will be extended at least up to the end of this year. Then we will see how much time will be required to finish official investigation in 2012", - told Prosecutor General.

Investigation officers will have to examine huge quantity of explosion witnesses occurred in Oslo governmental quarter, and also witnesses of shooting on Utoya Island. "This is a very diligent work and we hope people will understand us. We respect the victims of the tragedy and their relatives so we will do our best to make the criminal answer in law for each murder he committed ", - mentioned Mr. Busch.

General Prosecutor’s Office of Norway is also intended to explore will it be possible to classify Breivik’s murders as a crime against humanity. In this case the criminal could get a term equal to 30 years of prison confinement. As of today Anders Breivik is accused on the article 147 of Norwegian criminal code (terrorism and terrorist activity), contemplating maximum punishment of 21 years imprisonment.

Anders Breivik is accused in organization of explosion in Oslo and mass shooting of people on Utoya Island – double terroristic act, occurred on July, 22. And cut off 76 lives. According to information of France Press (with reference to announcement of Norwegian police representative Mr. Johan Fredriksen) the police have already finished the search of victims on Utoya Island. By all appearances, there will be no more victims of terrorist act.
