Getting More Eyes — And More Leads

Lodestar Consulting came to us with a straightforward problem: they needed more visibility online and more qualified leads coming through their website. Their services — enterprise ERP advisory, financial management, audit remediation — are complex and high-value. But complex doesn't sell on social media. They needed content that could cut through the noise.

The challenge was twofold: create one video that clearly communicated Lodestar's breadth of services to a business-owner audience, and develop two additional videos that could stop a scroll and make professional services feel approachable — even entertaining.

Behind the Animation

Building a Bear From Scratch

For the two comedic spots, we animated a fully custom 3D bear character to create visual puns around "doing taxes with bear hands." The concept was fun, but the execution was technically demanding.

We'd never animated a character with fur before. Hair and fur simulation is one of the hardest things to get right in 3D animation — the flow, physics, and rendering all need to look natural or the whole thing falls apart. After many hours of R&D, rigging, and render testing, we ended up with a character that worked comedically and technically.

This is the kind of creative VFX work that sets branded content apart from template-driven video ads. It's memorable. It's shareable. And it makes a tax consulting firm actually fun to watch.
