ZIM Aircraft Seating Group

One company.
Two continents.
One film.

A reshoot of the Greensboro facility, rebuilt into a single global corporate video with the existing German footage. Two options below, priced separately.

01 / The situation

The two halves don't read as one company.

The German portion follows a clear line and reflects the brand. The Greensboro portion does not. Lighting falls short, the spaces weren't dressed before the camera rolled, cabling and clutter sit in frame, and the people on screen don't look like they want to be there.

Cut together, the result reads as a mid-size manufacturer in southern Germany with a second site attached, rather than a global aircraft seating group on a clear path to premium. The fix is not a patch. It is a reshoot of the US material against a story built to carry both facilities, then a single edit graded to the current brand standard rather than the lighter blue used in 2021.

This proposal covers that work end to end: story, shoot, edit, voice-over, and delivery. The visual effects and product visualization discussed on the call are priced separately as Option B, so the decision stays yours.

02 / What the film has to do

Objectives

  • Produce one cohesive 90 to 120 second global corporate video presenting both facilities as a single ZIM brand.
  • Reshoot Greensboro to match the visual quality, lighting, and storytelling of the existing German footage.
  • Grade everything to the current brand standard: Core Blue, Pantone 295, hex 1B2D4F, not the lighter 2021 blue.
  • Position ZIM as dynamic, agile, and innovation led, on a clear path to the premium segment.
  • Deliver in English with professional voice-over, ready for the website relaunch and the April exhibition.
Audience 01

New to ZIM

People who have never heard of the company and need to understand what it makes and how.

Audience 02

Customers & OEMs

Airlines, Airbus, and Boeing, watching for capability, scale, and premium credibility.

Audience 03

Internal & future team

Employees and candidates who should finish the film proud to be part of ZIM.

Informative from a corporate point of view, not a sales pitch. The same cut has to work for all three.

03 / Scope

What gets built

Included in both options

  • Pre-production site tour of the Greensboro facility, shot list, and storyline development.
  • One day of on-location filming in Greensboro, with a two person crew directing set dressing on the floor.
  • Integration of the existing German footage into one unified storyline.
  • Full edit: assembly, pacing, color grading to the brand palette, sound design, and music licensing.
  • English voice-over script written with ZIM leadership, plus professional voice-over recording.
  • Two rounds of revision with the leadership team.
  • Final delivery for web, exhibition and trade show display, and internal use.

Added in Option B

  • CAD to render product visualization of The Frame, ZP630, shown installed in an aircraft cabin.
  • Custom visual effects and motion graphics, including the transition device carrying the viewer from Germany to Greensboro.
  • One additional revision round covering the effects and product visualization work.
On the shoot floor. Before the camera arrives we work from current facility photos and your on-site contact to decide which areas film well and how they need to be prepared. Cables cleared, tables reset, crowded frames thinned, and the team briefed on matching attire and brand color. That preparation is the difference between the two halves matching and not matching.

04 / Reference work

We have told this exact story before.

Multi-site manufacturers, one operation, one film. Below are two pieces closest in scale and subject to what ZIM needs.

ZONKD

El Salvador & Raleigh, NC · Facility series

We traveled to El Salvador to capture Zonkd's mattress cover production, then built a video series covering both their Salvadoran and Raleigh operations for the sales team to carry into meetings. The project also produced two convention pieces cut for 120 inch displays at ISPA in Las Vegas.

It is the same problem ZIM has: two facilities on different continents that had to come across as one operation with one standard.

Textile Product Video

Product & manufacturing focus

A product led piece shot inside a working textile operation, moving between the material, the machinery, and the finished product. The closest reference for how we would treat The Frame on screen: the seat as the subject, the factory as the proof behind it.

Same discipline of lighting a live production floor without shutting it down.

ZIM The Frame ZP630 Premium Economy seat, Red Dot Award winner

The subject · Option B

The Frame, ZP630

Your Red Dot Award winner is the strongest single asset the film has, and it is the one thing a factory floor cannot fully show: the seat in service, in a cabin, at altitude.

Option B takes your CAD files and renders The Frame installed in an aircraft cabin, matching the product renders already on your site, so the wooden frame and the kinematic system read the way they do in person.

07 / The fine print

Assumptions & terms

  1. Pricing is a good faith estimate based on the scope discussed on 6 August 2026, confirmed once the shot list and story treatment are locked.
  2. One day of on-location filming in Greensboro is included in both options. Additional shoot days are billed at the standard day rate.
  3. ZIM provides a local point of contact at Greensboro, current facility photographs, and support preparing the filming areas before the crew arrives.
  4. Existing German footage is supplied by ZIM at original resolution for integration.
  5. All final cuts are graded to the current brand standard, Pantone 295 and hex 1B2D4F, rather than the lighter blue used in the 2021 cut.
  6. Two revision rounds are included in both options. Option B adds one further round for the effects and visualization work. Additional rounds are billed hourly.
  7. Delivery includes export formats for web, exhibition and trade show display, and internal use.
  8. Music licensing is included up to a standard sync license. Premium or exclusive tracks may carry an additional fee.
  9. Product visualization in Option B is built from ZIM supplied CAD files for The Frame. Render fidelity depends on the completeness of the CAD and material data provided.
  10. Visual effects, including the Germany to Greensboro transition, are storyboarded and approved before final animation.
This page is a proposal, not a binding agreement. A signed statement of work and a 50 percent deposit confirm the engagement, lock the selected option, and reserve production dates.
